Y2 PE
Health Weeks
We celebrated two weeks in June thinking about health throughout the school. Many different activities were involved. In Year 2, we looked at the SEAL PHSE curriculum in Literacy. We made and drank smoothies, made and ate a rainbow of different coloured fruits, took part in a Sports afternoon in the Hall and Sports Day on the field. We also enjoyed the Family picnic and games to complete our celebrations on Friday June 26th.

Nottingham City Infant Agility Festival
On Thursday March 26th Year 2 went to the Lee Westwood Sports Hall in the University Clifton Campus. We were in three teams of 10 and our team names were The Crocodiles, The Pigs and The Owls. We took part in lots of different team games and races to test speed, balance, throwing skills and how we worked as a team. It was a brilliant afternoon and everyone behaved beautifully, supported each other and were fantastic sports. They didn’t mind where they came as long as they tried their best. We were very fortunate that two of our teams were placed in the medals- the Crocodiles coming first and the Pigs third, however all the children received a certificate. Well done Year 2! |
