Y6 Enrichment Activities
Pint Size Theatre
Year 6 had a brilliant afternoon with the amazing team from The Pint Size Theatre. The children watched a performance that deals with the issues and effects that come with the misuse of alcohol. This performance was followed by a question and answer forum where the children got to ask questions to the characters in the play and partake in discussion. This was a very thought provoking session which the children engaged with in an extremely mature and sensitive manner.
Trinity Visit - The Little Shop of Horrors
We had a fantastic time when we visited Trinity to watch their production of The Little Shop of Horrors. It was certainly an inspiring afternoon and we were amazed at the talent.
‘I enjoyed the talent that they showed and I was surprised at how many people participated. It made me even more excited to go to secondary school.’ Elizabeth

Street Aware
|
Liam and Millie, our local Police Community Support Officers, joined Year 6 for the day for a Street Aware Programme.
The purpose of this day was to provide information and educate the children on knife, gun and gang crime. The children were able to discuss the different issues that may arise with regards to gangs and the risks of carrying weapons. It was a very informative day, and Millie and Liam were great at answering any questions we had and we now have a much better understanding of what to do if we ever found ourselves in a difficult situation. “I think Street Aware has helped me very much as it gives me an understanding of gangs, violence and criminal things that I won’t do when I grow up” |
Allotment Visit
We had a busy day down at the allotment.
There was lots of preparation to do and as you can see from our photographs we worked extremely hard! |

Bestwood Country Park
We had the most fabulous day at Bestwood Country Park for our Team Building and Activity day.
It was great exploring the outdoor environment! Aleksander: “ My favourite part was when we made the boggits using clay and things from the natural environment.” |
|
Jazaya: “I enjoyed when we had to find something either smooth or rough as we got to feel different parts of nature and I got over my fear of slugs!”
Maks: “ I really liked exploring nature because we learned different techniques such as looking at the trees through mirrors spotting squirrels and birds.”
Tiarnna: “I liked it when we had to find a leaf, name it and memorise it and then after remember what it looked like to find it.”
